Armaggan’s laboratories produce twenty-seven different natural organic pigments from a variety of dye plants and insects, and supports their use in the arts of the Turkish arts of paper marbling, miniatures and illumination.
The products are dyed with madder (Rubia tinctorum L.), cochineal (Dactylopius coccus Costa), weld (Reseda luteola L.), indigo (Isatis tinctoria or Indigofera tinctoria L.), dyer’s oak (Quercus infectoria) and dyestuffs obtained from many other plants.
