Analyses of Seljuk carpets
Analyses of 17th-19th-century carpets

Dyestuff analysis was performed on Seljuk carpets of the Konya Ethnographical museum; reports were written to assist in their restoration and preservation.

The analysis of a carpet (Inventory number 1033) yielded the following:
Red: Alizarin and purpurin (Rubia tinctorum L.)
Green: Indigotin (Isatis tinctoria L)
Purple: Ellagic acid (Quercus infectoria Oliver), alizarin and purpurin (Rubia tinctorum L.)
Blue: Indicotin (Isatis tinctoria L.)
